The employees of Central Portfolio Control celebrated the end of summer with a creative team building event at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN. The entire company gathered on Thursday, August 8, 2019, for an evening of fun, food, and horse racing.

Acknowledging that a career in collections is challenging, management planned a day at the races, allowing teams to relax and engage in a fun social activity together. Staff was treated to an evening in the Club Level at Canterbury Park, complete with prime rib buffet and live horse racing.

Why Central Portfolio Control Maintains a Positive Company Culture

Cultivating a positive company culture is a priority for Central Portfolio Control. The quality of the work environment for employees is a key factor in determining the quality of services a company provides to clients and consumers. For a company to achieve success, maintain a competitive advantage, and retain the best talent, emphasis must be put on the importance of a strong foundation that is aligned with employee wellness and a positive corporate culture. Employee satisfaction is key to employees maintaining a positive attitude.

The “Evening at the Races” event was designed by Vice President Mike Lesher and facilitated with the help of Central Portfolio Control management. “We are extremely proud that Central Portfolio Control’s workplace culture is one of the best in the collections industry. One of the ways that we promote a sense of teamwork and continue to strengthen our work environment is through team building events. When we get to know each other outside of our respective offices, we form tighter bonds that help us to push one another and move forward. Employees who feel connected are more satisfied, more productive, and more likely to create happy consumers. These informal gathering opportunities are a crucial ingredient to individual and company success.”
