As Central Portfolio Control marks 25 full years of continued and sustained success in the receivables industry, it’s a moment for celebration and reflection on a remarkable journey that began with the same people who continue to lead our organization.
Over the past 25 years, CPC has not only weathered economic cycles but has emerged stronger, a testament to its steadfast team that has been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of receivables management. Founded in 1998, our team has continued to grow the company by providing top-quality services to our clients and creating job opportunities in the local community. As Central Portfolio Control continues into its 26th year of operation, the focus will forever remain on the future.
Continued Leadership
One of the remarkable aspects of CPC’s success is the consistency in its leadership team since day one. The founding members, who laid the groundwork for the company, continue to guide it with the same passion and commitment that fueled its inception.
However, CPC has not weathered all of its tragedies. Early on, the team lost its President, Rob Barrett. Mr. Barrett was a larger-than-life figure that transcended typical collections and leadership. All of us at CPC, whether they were there for his tenure or not, have felt his presence in our Minnetonka, MN office.
“Rob was truly one of a kind,” said Alicia Lesher, President of Central Portfolio Control. “All of us at CPC loved him dearly. He helped build a culture, legacy, and organization that continues to innovate and expand what it means to be a consumer-centric collections organization. I am so proud of the work we’ve done to make it this far and look forward to the work we will continue to do.”
A Consistent Focus
From the outset, CPC’s leadership team recognized the importance of a hands-on approach. They didn’t just manage from the top; they worked from the ground up. The founders themselves took on various roles, understanding the intricacies of each position and gaining valuable insights into the challenges faced at every level. This hands-on experience became the cornerstone of CPC’s organizational culture, fostering a deep understanding and connection between leadership and staff.
As the team expanded, the leadership at CPC made a deliberate effort to fill every position internally. This commitment to nurturing talent from within not only created a sense of loyalty among employees but also ensured that the company’s values and work ethic were ingrained in every team member. It was not just about having the right people; it was about having the right people who understood the ethos of CPC.
CPC’s success story is not just about financial milestones; it’s about the relationships built over the years. The leadership team’s commitment to transparency, integrity, and client satisfaction has been unwavering. This commitment has not only earned the trust of clients but has also fostered a positive work environment within the organization.
As CPC celebrates 25 years of success, the focus remains on the future. The leadership team, with its wealth of experience, continues to guide the company towards new horizons. The commitment to excellence, combined with a resilient and adaptable team, positions CPC as a leader in receivables management for the next quarter-century.
As the company looks ahead, its story serves as a reminder that enduring success is not just about reaching milestones, but about the unwavering commitment to values and the people who make it all possible. Cheers to 25 years of excellence, and here’s to many more milestones in the future.
